This is how my first hole of the day went:
1. Driver OB
2. Penalty
3. Driver into the fairway
4. 7-iron into the lake on the left
5. Drop
6. Wedge over the green and into the lake on the right
7. Drop
8. Chip
9. Putt
10. Putt into the hole

What a great start, right?

Our group started on 18, which is the toughest hole on the course. If you start out bad, plenty of places to get in trouble as I demonstrated for the benefit of everyone.

1st hole of the day: +6.
2nd-18th holes of the day: +9

What a stupid game, right?

played in two man scramble today, did not use one of my shots until #10 and only because his drive was in a wet spot for n the fairway...

Yeah, damn game will keep you in its clutches. Play like crap on some holes, but those you play great keeps you coming back. It's like you can never get as good as you want to be because golf is a game that always humbles you.

Doubt it. I bet there is someone right now playing a round like that.

I once started a round by shooting a 3 or a 5 on the first 13 holes.

Shot par on the 3 par 5s
Shot par on the 3 par 3s
Had one more bogey than birdies on the par 4s at that point. Finished the day tying my personal best of 5 over.

Shot 80 with 4 doubles

Shot even par on 9 holes with no pars.

Thats hard to do. Really hard to do. In fact that is much harder than making 9 pars.

Hey, at least with ESC your score on that hole for handicap purposes was only a 7.

I don't remember exactly, but one day I shot ~85 after making not one but two eagles. That ain't easy to do folks

In our club championship last year, my final day included 6 birdies and an eagle. Still shot 2 over 73. Inconsistent much?!!
