Planning a 4 couple trip to Palm Springs in mid November this year. Planning to stay at La Quinta Resort. The guys will play golf while the women shop, etc. I have never been before. What courses would be recommended? Is La Quinta the best place to stay? What else do I need to do/ know to do my due diligence? Thanks to all.

La Quinta is the bomb. I loved it.

We played the Dunes, the Nicklaus tournament course and the Stadi course at PGA West. I enjoyed them all.

My folks live at PGA West. Don't miss the Stadium Course and if you can find a member to get you on to the Palmer Private then make sure you do it.

Indian Wells celebrity course has been in tremendous shape both times I've played it and has a really good mix of holes. Definitely worth a look

Escena is a hidden gem there IMO. Awesome clubhouse too.

Desert Willow courses are good (near La Quinta). PGA West.

Just returned from there. Be prepared that Indian wells is lot more quiet than Palm Springs.

I played mountain and the 2 courses at hyatt

This is true. I remember La Quinta being pretty sleepy.
