Looking for suggestions for a unique destination for 3-4 couples in our 30s. Guys would golf during the day while the women spa and hang by the pooling shop.

Wouldn't mind a location with a little night, but not a requirement. A resort would work as well.

Arizona, Florida, Mexico and California are out.

Thanks.

The Greenbrier in White Sulpher Springs, Wv & Kiawah Island, SC seem to be the leaders right now.

Kohler, WI. 3 top 100 courses in the area and The American Club is one of the best resorts in the country. Greenbrier and Kiawah are great as well.

Looks like the finalists are:

-Greenbrier in White Sulpher Springs, WV
-Kiawah Island, SC (#3 ranked public course)
-Hilton Head

Anybody been to the above? Buddy is pushing Greenbrier, but I'm concerned about lack of non-golf activities.

Staying at The Sanctuary and playing The Ocean Course at Kiawah is one of my favorite trips. I would definitely consider that spot. Just went masters weekend and it was great. I have only played the ocean but there are several other great courses there.

Koehler is extremely high on my wish list as well. Between those two it would be hard to go wrong.

I thought Greenbrier had tons of activities outside of golf.

Kiawah would be my #1 by far.

I can't believe Myrtle Beach wasn't recommended. Outstanding golf and with three couples you can get a house right on the beach for the ladies.

Btw, I am not saying only the ladies would stay at the house. Point is, they could walk out the back door to the beach while y'all head to the links. North Mytle by the way has tons of multi-BR homes within a block of the beach.

I don't know personally, but I've heard and read that Myrtle Beach has gotten to be somewhat Jersey Shore-ish with an influx of lower income visitors.

It depends on the courses you play and where you stay. Stay up I'm Cherry Grove and play 5* courses and you play 4.5 hour rounds on spectacular courses while staying in a beautiful house looking over the beach.
