New to the Houston area and was wondering what courses are fairly uncrowded and a good place to golf with a beginner?
TIA

Any particular part of Houston? I play at Battleground in Deer Park. Its player development program is very cheap.

Sharpstown on a saturday or sunday afternoon. The new greens are actually really pretty good for a muni and the course is a very beginner-friendly layout. It's not very expensive and pretty easy to walk.

Heron Lakes and I'm being serious. It's cheap and is hardly ever crowded.

Jersey meadows is hardly ever crowded, I've never had an issue walking on in the afternoon, and can usually get a tee time just calling about an hour or so ahead of time.
