What's so funny about that?

Believe me, in twenty years time, being a head coach at Tech will be the only thing on his resume.

What Texas A&M currently has is the perception of greatness.

Hell I dunno....

The horns keep acting like they are the cool kids. Nice peer group you have collected there.

Honestly, are the Aggies so much better than the Horns right now? One more win in the win column doesn't speak that much in volumes. Is it because 6-6 for UT is unusual and 7-5 is an improvement for A&M?

We had 2 more wins. One of them being over a team that blew them out. You know, it was that same last place SEC West team that rolled through Lubbock and blew out tech.

There really is no reason why a recruit should want to attend Texas A&M. Even if we skip the obvious no comparison between living in College Station and Austin, think about this for a minute. Johnny Manziel won the Heisman Trophy based on his performance during the 2012, and do you remember where his team finished that season?

Third in the SEC's West Division.

If Texas A&M could not win its SEC division with a Heisman Trophy winner, when will it realistically occur?

Never, is the obvious answer.

But what Texas A&M currently has is the perception of greatness, even if the Aggies were 3-5 against conference opponents last season, and outscored 293 to 223 against SEC teams. For those who do not feel like doing the math, Texas A&M was outscored 37-28 in SEC games last season, and time will tell if the hiring of defensive coordinator John Chavis will make a difference.

Can't imagine the SCATHING article that must be in the works for OU.

You know, their REAL rival.

I'm not sure "blew out" fully illustrates the utter domination that Arky brought to Lubbock

Because 2 more wins isnt a metric ton in college football. Especially not when 1 team plays in college footballs best division and the other plays in the worst conference in America. Yeah...it's really close.

And over the last 5 years we average 9 wins a year. They average 7. Yeah...7-5 is really "an improvement" for us, you unmitigated dumb ****.

Say what you will about the hack, but at least he didn't need a pair of bolt ons to get a job.

From nfl beat reporter at a large city daily newspaper to nfl beat reporter for an obscure website to lowly writer for a high school recruiting service. That's quite a downward path. I wonder if anyone has explained to Anwar yet that if he continues on this same career trajectory, his next job will be covering junior high sports for the weekly Nickle Ads in Marble Falls.

Honestly, the fact that you're clinging to the pre-bowl records of both schools with no regard for the entire results (horns finished 6-7 and Ags finished 8-5), the quality of schedule (your best win was WVU while A&M beat Auburn and Arkansas who whipped you in your bowl), or recent trends (A&M clearly on the upswing in a better league and catching the eye of recruits while Strong hangs his hat on Malik Jefferson) tells me all I need to know about the situation. Keep on stretching, it's quite amusing to watch.

Which begs the question....Who was TBAT's best win last year?

was UTEP or Iowa State the tougher test for Coach YOLO?? Kansas is part of Murderer's Row as always and Central Arkansas is no joke!

Get to live in the new fancy downtown high rise condos? Didn't think so. Austin works if you have a good job and money.

Median rent downtown for one of those 1 Bedroom condos is $1913.

I mean come on recruits!

Why would you want to play in the countries biggest, best and most storied stadiums every Saturday when you could be playing in HS sized stadiums in legendary places like Lubbock, Stillwater, Ames and Manhattan!

Why would you want to play for a conference that sends more kids to The League than many other conferences COMBINED??

Not when you can play for Coach chuck, finish 4th in a league thats barely a power conference anymore and sends all of nobody to the NFL anymore all so you can say you live in a hipster and homeless infested town full of pretentious and overpriced amenities you cant afford.

Nailed it!

Lay off Anwar.

Can YOU beat the odds and fight your way into the elite Journalism program at THE UNIVERSITY of south florida?
He's obviously qualified to comment on Aggieland. Yes.

Wonder what precipitated his downward spiral 2011-present?
