I think we should wait to see who we replace Oregon with before we start calling for Hyman to get busted outta here.

Texas A&M has the opted out of a home-and-home series with Oregon that was set for games in 2018 and 2019, FOX Sports confirmed Thursday.
Aggie athletic director Eric Hyman exercised a clause from the contract A&M and the Ducks agreed to back in 2009 that said they could get out deal if A&M changed conferences. The deal was made when the Aggies werein the Big 12 and they have since moved to the SEC.
The Ducks wanted to keep the games against A&M and are now left to scramble to find games against another significant opponent-- or opponents -- in that two-year window. The Aggies had been slated to visit Eugene Sept. 15, 2018 with the Ducks making the return trip to College Station Sept. 14, 2019.

I think you could call this the 5th quarter of the Alabama game.

You are probably pissed with the AD signing ASU next year, home/home with UCLA to replace the USC games they backed of and the ND home/home series
quote:Read it again and get back to us.
According to article quoted Oregon wanted to keep the games, even with 5 home game problem.

No, but I'm very disappointed we cancelled a fantastic 2-game series that almost every cfb fan in the country was looking forward to and planning to watch.

I suggest you do the same Einstein. And I quote:

The A&M - Oregon series was a marquee matchup that would have been of incredible benefit (publicity, brand-building, national spotlight) for both programs. We're building a national program. Big mistake to walk away from that series.

Blame the stupid game in Arlington each year on this.

In my opinion, it would be a bigger mistake -- and a disservice to season ticket holders -- to have have just 6 home games. I'd prefer 7 home games and play Clemson.

Hey, longtimequeer shows up from weeks in his partner's smother box after an Aggie loss and a 3 pt sip domination of ISU. What a surprise

When did faahghorn here get back? Hey 55, is Bergeron playing against Ksu this weekend?

But you do have La Madison to add to your wins over powerhouses like SMU, Rice, Lamar . . .

Tell me ... as a BIG Longhorn fan, even if you didn't attend that school, what would your definition of a successful season be for the Longhorns in 2014, as far as final W-L record?
And remember, your team was 8-5 last year and that was viewed as a huge disaster.
And remember, Longhorns are too good for moral victories.

I expected/hoped for 10 wins with a healthy ash. Obviously that didn't hsppen. I also didn't foresee ksu, tcu, osu, and wvu being as good as they are. At this point, with all the dismissals and injuries, I'd consider making a bowl to be acceptable. But I REALLY want to win out!! Most of all I want to see swoopes continue to improve and the defense be consistent.
quote:FACT: The Aggies had MORE dismissals than Texas did, as far as starters especially.quote:quote:So do you really think that wins over North Texas, Kansas and Iowa State top wins over SMU, Rice, Lamar, SC and Arkansas?
