We are going to be in Denver in mid-December.

1) Will there likely be sufficient snow for a snowmobiling trip a short drive (within 2 hours) of Denver?

2) If yes, where would you recommend going?

Should be plenty of snow but that is not a guarantee....last year there was good snow by Thanksgiving but that is not always the case.

Pretty much any ski resort will have options that they will shuttle you to. There is a great spot near Vail Pass, but don't know specific company names that you can rent from.

Thank you. How long of a drive is that from downtown Denver? Been awhile since I've driven it.

Vail is 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic.

Breckenridge, Keystone, Winter Park etc. are all about 1-1.5 hours.

Dillon is a good central spot right off the highway where they have several places to rent from. Only thing I would caution is what group you sign up for, some tours you will get older folks and/or kids which can slow the tour down quite a bit. I would look for either private or "experienced" tours

I will have a kid with me, and we aren't experienced!
