So Gurriel will start for the Hooks tomorrow. He's set to debut with the Astros on Aug 16. Will be interesting to see if they stick to that timeline if our lineup keeps producing one run.

They don't have a choice. He can't get a passport to go to Toronto. The 16th is the earliest they can bring him up.

I'm thinking the hitting coach needs to go after this year. There's been so many regressions, and the rookies just aren't making good adjustments. I don't have any stats to prove it though. Pete?

In fact, Gomez is striking out at a 31% clip as compared to last year's 21%.
