Feel bad for Roberto. He earned his starting spot and got bumped for the young talent. Then he busted his azz and gave some nice innings out of the pen without batting an eye.
Big tip of the cap to the guy.

Too bad Houston is a "dirty" city, else we could have had Hamels apparently.

Correa, 20, the youngest position player in baseball, is the heart of the finest young core of talent in the American League. This is a team so young that instead of getting popsicles and Kool-Aid for victories, they're rewarded with their own fog machine, strobe lights and techno music.
"I think they look more forward to that," Neshek said, "than anything else."
Well, Neshek can share some of the credit or blame. When Springer bought a fog machine and a strobe light and started Club Astros after their 14-7 start, Neshek and 36-year-old veteran Chad Qualls decided it wasn't good enough. Neshek went onto his computer, surfed Amazon, and spent $1,000 on new gadgets, putting Jay-Z's 40-40 club to shame with their postgame celebrations.
"Me and Neshek decided that if they want to show that they belong in the big leagues," Qualls said, "you've got to do it the big-league way."
Said Neshek: "I don't now how big league it is, but it's fun. When the season is done, I'm going to use it for Halloween."

Well, while Neshek will be using the strobe lights for the trick-or-treaters, Luhnow could be headed to the local Department of Motor Vehicles office.
You see, it's time for Luhnow to change his license plate.
When the Astros lost 111 games in 2013, Luhnow got a personalized license plate that read "GM 111."
"I wanted a daily reminder of those losses before I came to work," Luhnow said, "and when I got home."
So for now, the license plate still remains on his Audi S5.
"We have not won anything yet," Luhnow said. "When we do, then I will."
And when the Astros reach the postseason for the first time since winning the pennant in 2005, don't be surprised if you see a certain 49-year-old dancing under the strobe lights deep into the night.
"I don't know if I'll be breakdancing," Luhnow said, "but I'll probably do something."
This party may just be getting started.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad we didn't bet the farm on Hamels.
I'm ok losing a project Aggie and a project catcher.
Losing big league talent and top tier arms for a rental is not something we planned to do or need to be doing. We have the pieces in place to win without a guy like Hamels. Trade a couple more fringe top 20 organization prospects for someone like Ross or Leake and call it a day.
