None of these are really out on a limb, but I thought it might be fun to post some preseason predictions and check back next summer and see how close I was.

I feel like in the West, the question is about who is going to be the healthiest during the season and during the playoffs. OKC is a good example. If healthy, they could easily be top 2, but I'm guessing they won't be healthy again throughout this whole year, but if healthy at playoff time as a 7 seed, could be in WCF.

1. Warriors
2. Spurs
3. Rockets
4. Grizzlies
5. Clippers
6. Pelicans
7. OKC
8. Mavs

1. Cavs
2. Bulls
3. Wizards
4. Hawks
5. Raptors
6. Pacers
7. Bucks
8. Celtics

MVP: LeBron
ROY:Emmanuel Mudiay
Eastern Conference Champs: Cavs over Bulls in 5
Western Conference Champs: Grizzlies over Spurs in 7
Champions: Grizzlies over Cavs in 4 (What the hell, nobody reads this far anyway)

Southwest Conf only predictions:
Spurs roll, but lose a few games when resting players. Win 60 games again.

Rockets trade off between hottest team in the West to WTF are they doing out there. Dwight Howard will be in the headlines a couple times that makes fans uncomfortable, and the team does well in the first round but disappoints in the 2nd.

Mavs win 39 games. Make playoffs, give a team a couple of scares in the first round, and then lose.

Pelicans end up with a winning record in division. Anthony Davis plays like an MVP, but Eric Gordon gets hurt again when trying to stop Nate Robinson and Tyreke from fighting over the ball. Kendrick Perkins complains about every foul call, but is still allowed to set moving screens, but only when setting them for Anthony Davis.

Grizzlies play .500 ball in division. I don't even know where to go with Matt Barnes and Tony Allen. And Grizzlies fans in the arena wonder why they can't get better WiFi reception with Ubiquiti products throughout the arena.

I don't think a 39-43 record is going to make it to the playoffs in the west.

What a disaster the season has been. I also, have no clue how I came up with Rockets over Spurs. I must've been drinking.

Ready to ask him what his reason was for putting James Harden as 3rd place but no vote for Kawhi?

Also, the FS Oklahoma voter did not for Kawhi.

Add Cornbread Maxwell to the no vote for Kawhi list.

Chris Sheridan also did not put down Kawhi, and had Lebron 5th.

And freaking Eric Hasseltine.

4 out of 5 ain't bad.

And I should've known better than to pick LeBron for MVP...he's going to coast thru the regular season and save it all for the playoffs.

This thread certainly demonstrates how few actually visit this board while the football season is still going on.

Barring a major free agent moving to a different team, it seems like this would be an way too early pick for next season.

EC
1. Cavs
(and it doesn't matter for the rest)

WC
1. Warriors
2-3. Some order of Spurs & Thunder
4. Clippers

5-9. Some order of Rockets, Grizzlies, Portland, Dallas, New Orleans

Threaten for playoff conversation: Kings & Jazz

Not a single person had Portland in the playoffs. How good could they have been with the Marcus?
