I'm getting a dEEwalt battery-powered weedeater tomorrow and selling my gas powered one. It's worked great since day 1, starts easily and had the oil changed at the end of the summer last year.
Also comes with the edging blade tool that works well for cutting the dirt/grass back at the beginning of the season, otherwise I just stand it up and use the string to edge.
This cost $350 about 5 years back but looks like it's been discontinued. This is the model I have and not the cheaper 28cc model.
