1. That was a PI on Priest.

I think they were referring to Gary and Verne getting an explanation on the Noil hit as "he wasn't a defenseless player so it wasn't targeting." The same rules should apply to both teams. The Bama RB wasn't defenseless. It was targeting. So was the Noil hit.
Wilson needed to sit anyway. He was mixing it up too much and should have been penalized on more than one occasion.

This too. Clear PI right in front of the ref
H town. They've shown it 15 times. If you can't see the crown making contact with Speedys helmet then there is no convincing you. It was textbook targeting whether we like the rule or not

he may have been just quoting the reason given by the rules guy to danielson during the telecast, because that was what he incorrectly said
to be fair this was the knock on the SEC back before the Ags joined. That the refs knew who was supposed to win. (re: the infamous Patrick Peterson non-interception review vs. Bama)
