An autographed Aggie football helmet and Old Army Bonfire Redpot were stolen from Kyle Field. If you have any information, please contact UPD. And pass it back, Aggies.

People don't steal a red pot for money. Probably a prank?

Oh, I thought this was about the chicken wrap...

T&P for your helmet.

The helmet that was also stolen is an autographed football helmet. Definitely not a prank.

The Redpot is a Bonfire leadership position designated in the Woods and at Stack by red helmets. All but one are military helmet liners. These Pots are passed down every year and carry the names of every Aggie that ever wore the Pot. We have most of the original Redpots, and we still wear them and pass them down today. An Old Army Redpot is a rare piece of Aggie history.

What took the police almost 10 days since the theft to post this? This should've been posted immediately from theft date. The items could be at a pawn store or Craigslist by now.

If they're continually passed down, then why was it sitting inside the stadium?

Since '99, most of the original Redpots have returned to Bonfire. This one was not one of them.

A plastic pretend helmet has no monetary value, regardless of how many people write their names in the inside.

It's not a pretend helmet, it's a helmet liner.

Using a not-real helmet as a real hard hat = pretend. And WW2 k-pots did not have plastic liners

They don't use hem as real hard hats, they use them as rank identification. And it is a helmet liner, not a "not-real-helmet."

...and yet you have Aggie in your handle? So, the term Pi$$ Pot means nothing to you either?

I guess anyone beyond the class of 2003 wouldn't have been "schooled" on pots and what they represent. Maybe this will be the answer to the age-old dilemma of Old Army bs New Army.

Oooooh! Posting smack! Always the sign of an insecure idiot.

Also, you are right, they never were used for the K-pot. Ever. They were however used for the M1. Thanks for playing though.

You should read the description in what you posted. A rayon webbing is not a plastic helmet. The closest the military came was a leather hat-thing that snapped into a k-pot in Vietnam

I kept my pot when my outfit (K-1) was disbanded in 2003. It was handed down from the 80s. It's plastic as ****

Oh my god! All the way from the 80s? That's practically the Stone Age!

The helmet liners were made of resin/leather. You had a weird helmet. Congrats.

We only had green pot back in the day but it did the trick. I also got an erecting at Bonfire making out with a rando babe I met while trolling. Funny though, she didn't look so hot the next day. Yikes!!!

They almost never do.
I had to edit back from "oversees the bonfire erection"...

The story from The Eagle says you can call UPD, or Crime Stoppers. You can also contact me with any info and I'll draw the SOB and put his face on blast.

I made a preliminary sketch based on the evidence so far:
