1 1/2 hour before kickoff the Corp of Cadets & Aggie Band march out of the "Quad" to Kyle Field. You can go to the Quad or anywhere on their route. One of the great traditions in CS.
Stay in your seat at half time & watch the Aggie Band's halftime drill. Again, Aggie tradition at its finest.

Enjoy Aggieland. Glad y'all are coming for a visit.
Get your housing early if you can. Some nice bed and breakfasts can be found online, and some are walking distance from the stadium - this is good, because that's not a good time to be in a car. I'm sure Air BnB is doing good these days too.

Texas Barbecue is the best. Sweet and thick and mouthwatering. I like C&J in Bryan myself. Others will differ.

We're proud of Tex-Mex food. Freebirds is the best burritos, but its only burritos. Jesse's in Bryan is good.

A number of places do well with these food choices. Visit Northgate (the area across the street north of campus) for a taste of student night life if you like that sort of thing.

If at all possible, come to Kyle Field for midnight yell practice. Friday and midnight (duh). It's free, and an awesome tradition. Plan to be there around 11:30, you can park across the street from Kyle in the garages, it may be free (anybody confirm?).

Introduce yourself to the cool folks in RVs before midnight yell, and at a tailgate pre-game. You'll be taken in and shown a good time.

Please tell your team to show up with a ranking that can be transferred to us!

Get here on Friday, hang out in the Northgate area bars, wear your Vol gear ( should get you some free beer from fellow Ags we are a friendly bunch), close to midnight follow the crowds to Kyle Field and watch midnight yell. Kreuz BBQ as has been mentioned, BBQ is a serious thing in TX so you may get some mentions about Fargo's and a few other BBQ places in town. Watch the Corp at the Quad as has been mentioned. I mean this in the most respectful manner but you probably don't have good Mexican food in TN, several decent places in town, others will come and weigh in. Upscale type places if you are so inclined I like Maddens in downtown Bryan and Christopher's . Chicken Oil decent burger and cheese fries. Several other places and various types of food, I will come back after I give it some thought. BTW, welcome and look forward to a good, hard fought, injury free game!!!!!

BTW, let us know if you are flying in or driving and the areas you will be passing through, the Aggie network is huge, so for example if you are driving or flying in through Houston, Dallas, or even Austin there are some must eat at places in those cities. If you are visiting the great state of TX you might as well enjoy it to the fullest.

You are certainly welcome.... and your band is welcome until they start playing that damn song repetitively.

Lodging will be an issue for you, expect to get slammed with a two night minimum at a ridiculous price...

For the best hospitality, assistance, and honestly food ... make it to a BBQ tailgate. post back closer to game day if you're not being treated well.

Serious about visiting the tailgates.

Also serious about wearing your school's colors.
You will be treated
with kindness and respect and if there happens to be be some 1% that tries to start something, there will be a ton of Aggies to step in and stop it.

We pride ourselves on being friendly, just don't show up acting the fool and you will be well treated.

This is it.

We are also a very proud bunch. So if you act like the Alabama guy sitting a few rows in front of us did at the game last year, turned around laughing and started flipping off all the Aggies, things will turn on you quickly.

Remember to not step on the MSC (Student Center) grass. Its a living memorial to the fallen servicemen and Aggies in war. Plus, remember to remove your hat when in the MSC (thats it for the negative. sorry).

Enjoy the Aggie friendliness and go have a beer at any tailgate. Midnight yell is where 30 -40K Aggies show up to practice yells at Kyle Field. Be ready for some sophomoric silly humor at TN expense...but its harmless, all in fun and not too tacky. But people will be very friendly and you will enjoy it.

Northgate: The Chicken is a bar that is Aggie Tradition. Been there a long, long time. Typically its where the apposing team fans go to. There will be a lot of Aggies and Vols there. There are numerous other bars and restaurants at Northgate as well.

On Campus: The MSC and MSC Medal of Honor Area, Sully, The Quad and Corp Museum. Corp March in, Spirit Walk. Get there a little early and thats when the Vols will be entering the stadium grounds.

Where to stay: Seriously, start looking now. Hotels are generally completely sold out on game weekends. Someone mentioned Bed and Breakfast. This will be your best option. You can pay a whole lot and stay close to A&M within walking distance, or you can rent a nice B&B in Bryan or College Station further away and pay something more reasonable. Parking is plentiful in the neighborhood just south of the campus and stadium area. There are also a few pay lots right behind Northgate.

Have a great time.

Got a cousin who was working on his masters in animal science at Tennessee and considering A&M for his doctorate. He showed up in Aggieland wearing a big orange UT cap. After he walked into the MSC with it on, he told the guys confronting him, "What do you have against Tennessee?"

One of the Ags started laughing and explained that he might be more discreet with his orange UT crap. Then he started explaining Aggie traditions.

My cousin never came to A&M and eventually switched to human medicine, had a kid who went to Auburn, and is now a complete barner. He did give me a Select Sires cap (he worked there) that guys tried to buy from me while I was at A&M. I probably would've traded it for a Halliburton cap, but no one would negotiate.
