Too many townies

The traffic does suck. One reason we live in and around CS is because we don't want to live in a place it takes an hour to go 2 miles down a parking lot shaped like a road.

So yea, it does suck.

Lived 13 years in Hudson Bend and Cardinal Hills, moved over a decade ago. Never went to Austin unless I absolutely had to,...last time I visited the LT area for a show at The Backyard, I was shocked at the traffic on 620. But it was a Friday night, LTHS was in a playoff game.

I thought nothing could beat LA. I thought that the hours spent staring at the Sepulveda exit sign were the worst in my life. Then I moved to the east coast and discovered I95.

At least in LA or Houston they are trying. I ****ing 95 is a two lane road surrounded by forest where they could clearly build a ten mother ****ing lane highway in both directions, but they choose not to.

Dallas and Houston are somewhat predictable at least. Austin is getting to where it is not as predictable.

Then there is LA. I've never driven this I95 you speak of on the east coast, but driving down the 405 or any highway in LA at 1am and stopping in bumper to bumper traffic makes no sense. It does not matter the time of day, the highways will lock up and then all of the sudden be wide open. No accident in sight and no explanation. Every time I drive in LA I promise not to ***** about Dallas for at least 3 months.

"Traffic" is when you are at a red light, and you are a half mile from the intersection, and you wait 8 cycles to get through.

You wouldn't believe the traffic when I drove the Lunar Rover on the moon. There was an astronaut standing there and a big-ass lunar lander in the way and rocks. Traffic on the moon was a freaking nightmare.

I'm from Austin and I want to drop a nuclear weapon on my home town. The traffic is ass my dude.

Now having said that, I do think the traffic sucks in CS, esp on Texas and Univ. Too many traffic lights.

Summer traffic in CS is not bad though. But still have to deal with the lights if you're primarily on Texas/Univ.

I have to run the entire gambit of I-35 from Buda to Hyde Park daily. I'd trade a commute through any part of CS for that abomination in a heartbeat.

I'm born and raised in Houston...I know traffic.

College Station traffic on Texas and University really can suck at times, with dumb kids and local rednecks thrown in the mix. Ten minutes at an intersection is the same ten minutes no matter where you are. Doesn't matter if it's Highway 6 in College Station or Highway 6 on the West side of Houston.
