Plenty of fish in the sea. Tate left us plenty of time to find another QB or two. What would have been a bigger slap in face is a late flip to another school..

He also wouldn't get as many retweets if he waited until January which is what he craves. So it works out better for everyone.

I don't wish the young man any ill at all.... but previous posters that asserted that Tate committed to Spav, not A&M, are right on the mark IMO. If signing Tate.... whom I always thought was a bit undersized... meant that we had to keep Spav, then that's a "no deal" in my book.

Spav needed to move on, and frankly I think after watching the SEC vs the Ags for four years that we needed a QB with a bit more size. Good luck to him, and maybe we'll meet down the road.

A&M really needs to focus on recruiting Texas and Louisiana kids and keeping them committed, then sign them. All these flyers from Nevada, Cali and other parts of the country aren't working. Yeah, there's a couple from Tennessee and Washington DC, but in my opinion, A&M isn't on the level of Alabama or Ohio State to be jetting all over the country throwing out offers. Get the ship on the correct course, win big for a couple seasons and then try to be a national power.

I will bet $100 with anyone now, that Tate commits and de-commits at least once before signing day or transfers Once he gets to the first school!! He is an attention hound and if he is not playing or red shirting, he will move.....

He loved Spav and his leaving was probably a huge factor in this and I bet to this day, that Spav is in his ear bad mouthing A&M. That and his bro not liking A&M were THE FACTORS in all of this.

As of right now he is one of the only QB's in the SEC to have beaten Alabama.

I believe the same thing. The kid is actually smaller than Kyler Murray. I do not understand Sumlins infatuation with small QB's. Besides JM, they have not worked out for us.
