The NCAA doesn't need clear proof or a "beyond a reasonable doubt" level of proof... they can pretty much do what they want (and take the chance of getting sued).
I'm sure they will investigate the other side of things (coach and person referenced (Barry?)), and once they start tugging on those strings there is a good chance more will unravel.
The NCAA had beyond reasonable doubt type of proof that JFF sold his autographs. But once the dealers said they would not talk to the NCAA we did the smart thing by lawyering up and threatening to sue if they did anything without absolute proof.
It used to be that if schools were not seen as cooperating they were automatically penalized. Not so anymore. Just hire lawyers and manage the PR as well as you can. It worked for us. It will work for them.
