too bad for you. You might have learned something.
quote:Why? Short of program affecting NCAA issues, Kyler is just a player. Not All American, not a world-beater thus far, and has attitudinal outbursts. He's a typical teenager who has seldom experienced adversity in his life until now and is going through a maturation process.quote:quote:I shouldn't have put that out there -- as it can hurt the program. But, yes, there is a relationship.
Rojo,
Is the potential other shoe drop related to the change in OC?
This. My gut is in knots from fear that Kyler is the shoe thats kicks us in the taint for '16.

I am by nature a skeptic of internet forums, especially Aggie ones when it comes to A&M football. I am not here to claim you are wrong or you are correct. You have firmly stated that it is what you believe, so I will take you at your word that you believe it to be so. That is not what I'm writing about. I have no questions about Spurrier or Spav or any new OC.
BUT - answer me this:
HOW does you coming on here to post about the old OC, the new OC, possible bad news coming, etc. help HC Kevin Sumlin in any way shape or form?
If Sumlin and the AD wanted Spurrier's name out there - they would have announced it already. For some reason, they do not, yet you feel compelled to release the info and "claim" it is to calm down the fan base on TexAgs? Really?
WHO BUYS THAT?
If you "TRULY" supported Texas A&M and our football program explain to me how posting what I can only describe as "confidential information", since the HC and AD have not released anything at all, is HELPING a school you claim to support?
1. Posting things about Spav being out while he is still recruiting - bad for Texas A&M.
2. Posting things about Spurrier being the new OC while nothing has been announced - bad for Texas A&M (see line item 1)
3. Posting things about "more bad news" coming on players transferring - bad for Texas A&M.
So, I am not seeing or understanding your perspective that your posts in anyway do anything to remotely HELP TEXAS A&M's football program. All of those things above do nothing but create uncertainty and discontent with HS coaches, HS recruits, HS families of recruits, current players on the team, and lastly the fan base.
I would suggest that all of you who "believe" Rojo to be telling the truth to ask yourselves some questions tonight about who really wants whats best for Texas A&M. I'm not saying you should or should not believe what he is saying. We are all free to believe what we want to believe. I have ZERO beef with that.
But there is this thing called "critical thinking" or do they not teach that anymore in college these days. I hope some of us can slow down and think more critically on what we are reading on these boards the last few weeks.
Thanks for reading and considering.

In the end all of this is for our entertainment.

I don't know why, that's above my pay grade. I have faith in my friends.
I think there is something key here that a lot of people are missing: BMA's did not pump 700 million into the football program to win participation ribbons and 8-4,9-3 records. They pumped 700 million into the program to win SEC Championships and National Championships.
Sometimes when you hire the wonderful 7-11 Manager to take over a Wal-Mart - you play into the Peter Principle. They just can't make the move to the scale of the Wal-Mart and the margins of the competition. Often it is best for all involved fo the 7-11 Manager to go back to what he does best, and to hire an experienced Manager to bring the Wal-Mart back up to speed.
Spavital is in over his head. It's there for all to see, especially on game day on the sidelines. It simply cannot be hidden, nor ignored. A change must be made, and it is being made.

My question is for Rojo not you. I'm asking HIM why he thinks this is helpful.
Why do you think it is funny or not serious? Some of you are hilarious.
If you are having fun believing it or feeding it, that's your fun. I'm questioning Rojo on why he thinks it's helpful to the program - that's me having fun. We each have fun in our own way.

I think 2) indicates that Rojo has posted the info about a new OC hire because someone in low places wants it leaked. In other words Rojo is an intermediary, but I doubt he would agree to be the leaker unless he was privileged to more info than what he is passing out. So I think we should not be focusing upon why Rojo felt he should leak the info, but rather...why does someone important in low places feel that leaking this info could be important for the future of A&M football?

Yes it could hurt the program but I'll confirm it anyway. Unbelievable.
