VMI has not winning season since1981. They play in a 10,000 seat stadium. Their enrollment is 1,600. Many D2 teams could beat them. They do have the most RA Corps of Cadets anywhere though.

Speaking from experience, do yourself a favor and bring the iPad or other entertainment so that you can enjoy the game!

Ball st will keep it close

I figure there will be a lot of walking around the stadium in the 2nd half. As long as we're up by 30 it shouldn't be too annoying.

They did make sure to increase the LTE coverage in the stadium right?

Methinks somebody's confusing Virginia Tech with Virginia Military Institute...

I drove through Lexington, VA a few years ago. Just a great little town. Home to VMI and Washington & Lee. VMI's stadium is ratty and most 6A schools in Texas have nicer stadia.

VMI's class ring makes the Aggie ring look like a svelte wedding band in comparison.

If/when we hit capacity next weekend, we will have TWICE the number of people at one game than BS had in home attendance for the ENTIRE 2014 season.

They clocked in at a shade over 51k for all of 2014.

Absolutely true - ugh I wish we could fill our stadium. We'll need to build more consistent win seasons (like NIU) to bring in the peripheral fans.

Interesting note; at the Iowa vs. BSU's game my wife and I couldn't find a single Iowa graduate that was walking to/attending the game. That's the layer we're missing. Although those fans come in/drop off like the tide, it's what is needed to fill any large college football stadium. We're at a disadvantage in Indiana because Notre Dame can fill a small country with those kind of fans.

I hate these games. We only get 12 games and I hate wasting 3 of them on high school teams.
