If you haven't noticed yet (you might need to refresh), we just launched our brand new Football landing page (!!) It's been a long time coming, but you now should have access to everything you need right on TexAgs: Record, Rankings, News Feed (which includes football-related staff threads), Schedule, Roster, Standings, Staff Bios, Depth Chart and Class Breakdown.
You can get to these pages in five different ways:
#1) Desktop Navigation:
#2) Mobile Menu:
#3) Football Story Pages:
#4) Homepage Sports Block:
#5) Football Sub Nav on both Desktop (pictured) and Mobile:
And because we added a new "Football" link to the main navigation, a few other links are now located under "MORE": Media, TexAgs Radio, Store, Pick-off and Help.
A couple things that I want to point out that you might miss:
On the schedule page, you can click the opponent's name to see all stories related to that game.
When the game is over, the final score will be a link. It will first link to the box score, and later to Olin's Post-Game Review. You can see how that works on the 2014, 2013 and 2012 schedules.
The roster is sortable - just click the category name (#, Name, Position, etc.) to sort.
You can also click each player's name to see all the stories related to them (if there are any).
I want to applaud the hard work that Landon (lucid) and Josh (ooshwa) have put into this, as it required developing a completely new content management system that we use to update and manage each of these pages. Speaking of updating, we are going to have this very up-to-date, which is something we have admitedly struggled with in the past. We realize that it's not valuable to you unless it's current.
We are working to get the other sport pages up and running as well, so you can expect those in the next week or so. But we wanted to get football up before the season began.
And in the interest of transparency, the next project we are working on is revamping our entire recruiting section. We'll have a similar landing page, plus brand new recruit bios, rankings, lists, etc.
So...now all that's left to do is #BTHOasu
