I went to 1 game last year (first since the 2011 season) and heard this ****. It's literally the most generic intro I have ever heard at a football game. I don't recall it even saying "Texas A&M" or "Aggies" in it. Whoever came up with that intro should have been fired. And I think this replaced the "There's a spirit..." intro? Total BS, imo.

It didn't mention anything about A&M. It was so generic, I'm pretty sure it talked about "Saturday Night," even before the 11am games.

Agree 100%. That was a crappy intro

Everything down from about 15 minutes until kick off should be about building energy and getting everyone pumped up. I don't care what type of music (prefer some Metallica or AC/DC) but it's got to get people up and yelling.

And the only thing they need to show on the video board during this same time is previous years football highlights. I don't want to see any other "history lessons".

I'm not a big fan of Kanye, but "Power" worked well for its intended purpose, especially when it debuted in 2012.

My concern is that it's not exactly a cutting-edge song anymore, and it's not exactly a timeless classic, so it may be time to move on to something else.
