Perhaps a better way of looking at it is how much have these guys contributed or are expected to contribute. How many projected starters do we have out of that group as they enter their junior year? How many of them have all conf potential

By my count:

All SEC potential: 2 (Hall and RSJ)
Potential to start in 2015: 2-5 (RSJ, Walker, Washington, Hall, Davis)

So out of 32 recruits we have 2 players that would be categorized as difference makers at this point, and only 2-5 players that are expected to start going into their junior year. The fact is RSJ is the only guaranteed starter. RSJ, Walker, Washington and Hall could very well be backups, but might work their way into the starting lineup. That's just bad.

Here's our comparison with the SEC West. Auburn and Ole Miss have lost 11 players from the 2013 class. No one is near the 9 four star recruits no longer on our roster.

All info taken from Rivals and school web pages. No effort was made to see why people are no longer on the roster. Errors are probable.

2013 Recruiting Class to Projected 2015 Roster

Alabama: 25 Signed; 8 Lost - 4 Four Stars, 3 Three Stars
Arkansas: 23 Signed; 5 Lost - 4 Three Stars, 1 Two Star
Auburn: 24 Signed; 11 Lost - 5 Four Stars, 6 Three Stars
LSU: 26 Signed; 9 Lost - 5 Four Stars, 4 Three Stars
Miss St: 21 Signed; 4 Lost - 1 Four Star, 3 Three Stars
Ole Miss: 27 Signed; 11 Lost - 4 Four Stars, 7 Three Stars

TAMU: 32 Signed; 15 Lost - 9 Four Stars, 6 Three Stars

You left out Justin Manning. Anyone have odds on him playing this year?

Hilliard was a transfer but included in the recruiting classes numbers. Wouldn't you agree that he also has a good chance of starting and being a play maker?
I would put him on par with Washington and Davis. He has a shot, but is by no means a definite starter and we definitely haven't seen enough from him to call him a potential difference maker at this juncture.

Please don't bring any reality to the party. Some would like to continue to believe all this swag crap is good for our school. If anything, i sure Sumlin & staff have evaluated the type of young man they bring into the program.

Are y'all serious right now or is this a joke. Of those that left in the 2013 class, we knew 3 wouldn't be here in 2015, 2 left football, and the rest were beat out by more talented athletes in the 2014 & 2015 classes or were replaced by equally talented guys in those classes. The reason that so many 4*'s are leaving is because they couldn't get any playing time behind the 5*'s that stepped in front of them. The only two that we miss right now, other than providing depth, are Golden and Claiborne.

If we hadn't signed 5*Kyle Allen, 5*Speedy Noil, 5*Christian Kirk, & a very underrated Josh Reynolds and our 2-deep at QB and WR included Kenny Hill, Larue, Quiv, Jaquay, & Kyrion would that be better, because we only lost 4 4* players in 2013 and that lines up with Alabama, Auburn and LSU?

There is no place for sound logic here. Let's just keep pretending this is why we sucked the past 2 years and not the fact that 2011 and 2012 recruiting classes were not SEC strong enough.

SEC attrition. That means we're doing something right.
