I kept hoping he could get onto the field but he came at a time with a lot of really talented receivers.

I was wondering when this would happen. He was getting pushed down the depth chart. I'm sure the coaches gave him a VERY honest evaluation now that Kirk is here and had a solid spring. I hope he has a great time with the 2 years he has left, good luck!
Posted this in the other thread, but Speedy Noil and Christian Kirk meant he wasn't going to get significant playing time at slot anyway. We are stacked at reciever, especially the slot.

With the staff turnover, I'm not surprised to see that class detonating. I'm not concerned about Quiv's position, but you can't see that type of attrition overall without some impacts to future seasons.

One of my favorite Texags "things" is when people fret over the transfer of a player who never really saw the field anyway.
Best of luck to him. IMO if you have a chance to keep a schollie spot at A&M with this offense, then you shouldn't "take your talent" to play at a tier 2 or 3 school. In the end you're probably better off staying in this program and shining when you get your chances. Fire away..

Not sure even Baton Rouge has seen 17 players fail to stay FROM ONE CLASS.
If I wasn't so gungho on the 2014/2015 classes, I'd be clinically depressed. Honestly, coach's first class has to be one of the worst rates of attrition in the history of the FBS.
Freshman and Sophomores are gonna play this season. And I love it.
Please list the 17 players that have transferred/been dismissed.

Is the general expectation he'll go BDF?
I could see:
TCU - Because they get lots of transfers in.
Tech - KK would seem he was involved in recruiting him.
Kansas - Beaty recruited him.
He could put up monster numbers.

The Div. 1 games was just out of his reach. He had some chances and just couldn't make the plays. A drop here or there or a bad cut to be caught. He also was easily tackled. A far cry from how he played at CH. still, he was close to being a player . Similar to Dwayne Goins.

Attrition is bad if:
* The player was a significant contributor or looked to become a significant contributor this season
* The player is buried behind upperclassmen, but will be counted on when they are gone
In this case, we have a player who was not thought to be a significant contributor this year, and is behind many younger players on the depth chart (i.e. he'll be out of eligibility before they are).
Speedy Noil, Christian Kirk, Jeremy Tabuyo are all guys that would have gotten more reps than him this fall that have as much or more eligibility than he does.
