It's too bad this was all because of underage drinking (or so it appears at this time). If he had just stopped, the worst he'd be facing is a DUI. Now things are much worse. Simply poor decision making by a young kid

Trying to figure out why on Earth he was in Kaufman. I promise Plano West's prom isn't even in the same area code... lol In fact, most folks from there wouldn't even let their servants drive their cars through Kaufman.

We're not THAT snooty.....but in all seriousness most kids try to rent out a house for prom after parties. Every person in DFW knows that so the kids have to go pretty far out of the metroplex to find someone willing (or dumb enough) to rent their property out to a group of teenagers after their prom. He was driving out to said house

No surprise. This has nothing to do with the fact he's a star athlete. Usually, they'll just stick a kid with the largest charge (assuming it's something like evading arrest or alcohol charges) and drop the rest
