I can believe something like this to happen and it doesn't surprise me but what is Sumlin supposed to do? Not listen to Chavis? A proven stud DC. meh, I have moved on. I am more interested in who the DC is going to be again.
I never really thought Malik had a head for the ball, measurables that are unreal, but not a head for the ball.
I do however hope that we get him and Moore back. I think Moore has a bit more instincts (reminds me of Dat), although some of that may be the differences in their coaching.

Honestly, I think Brice and Billy got played and Hamm just makes sh*t up. I'm sure Malik gave Brice reason to believe what he believed but given the reports that the kid has already turned in his paperwork leads me to believe be was never really considering A&M. His family was all in on the sips.
Good luck to him but I don't think things are going to work out for him like he hopes. The talent level just won't be there during his prime years.

I don't think Sumlin and Liucci have the "BFF" relationship that most of you think they do. I doubt Liucci is over there hanging out on the back porch with him trying to be objective. He knows him and won't really say anything negative about him, but it ain't because he's "too close" to Sumlin. Plus, he's a respected member of the media, so he has to remain objective no matter what, AMIRITE?
Even still, Liucci's post from last night that got out wasn't exactly all roses regarding Sumlin. I'm pretty sure he even cried a little in it.
I think he would have had a decision to make if we had a DC. Without one in place, what choice does the kid really have? He's gonna tell his parents "I know you want me to go play for the 'flagship' program in the state lead by a guy with pretty serious defensive credentials, but I'm gonna gamble on the charismatic Sumlin who has no history of making a credible hire."
