He was ours to lose to start the week, with UCLA an outside shot.
However, our being unable to provide him any clues as to what kind of defense he could expect to play in, has not set well with him. Malik is a smart kid and I don't blame him for wanting some answers.
His family has been in his ear pushing Texas, and the cluster**** innovative DC search has given them edge as the close to home option.

Maybe because the goal was to swing for the fences and try and get some of the bigger names. Its not for lack of trying why they haven't said yes

Or maybe Sumlin wouldn't return Looch's phone calls, so the only way he could communicate these findings to Sumlin was to leak them on TA?

Look at how Auburn handled their business. I guarantee you they didn't fire their DC that took them to NC game 1 year ago to just arbitrarily swing for the fences at any DC that was looking to get a bigger contract. Snyder deserved to be fired, but we could have done it after the bowl game IF we didn't have something lined up already.

I don't know what went down, so I'm not point fingers at Brice, just talking about recruiting "experts" in general - by and large they are not "journalists." They fake being friends with boys to sell information about them to paying customers. They spend 2 to 3 years building "relationships" and texting with 16 -18 year old boys, but once the information the boys have is no longer desired by the public, the relationship is no longer valuable.
Its pretty sick, and I'm not judging because its all of our fault for creating a market for that behavior.
Why do these kids talk to these people at all? Very creepy.
