Unless he is taken in the top 5 picks, he won't get 4-5 million. Some of you need to understand "slot"money better. No. 10 pick is in the high 3 mill range, no. 20 is in the 2 mills range and after no. 23 you're in the high 1s.

And the slot is open to negotiations anyway. Some teams will negotiate a smaller signing bonus if they think a player will take longer than normal to make the show. Houston paid something like $2MM less than slot for the #1 pick 2 years ago because he was a 17 year old and would need 3-4 years before he could contribute
