Tressel's nephew has been lb/St coach at Michigan State for 8 years. Love the way they attack on defense and I think he is smart enough to realize that you don't combine a blitz with soft coverage as Snyder constantly does.

I think he is ready and will get coordinator calls this off season.

We do still use Tornush a lot.

Muschamp, Orgeron, and Chizik are all extremely gettable.

But here are some notes we should take into account:

1. Being a good recruiter is not essential as a DC, it's helpful but leave it up to your assistants the majority of the time.

2. The coach has to show a consistent positive defensive coaching history. Sucking and then being good when you have 10 seniors on Defense doesn't count (Miss State DC)

3. Be aware of the limitations in Texas (lack of LB's) and ensure that you don't run a 3-4.

4. "Getting A&M" doesn't matter. He'll like us plenty once the checks come.

5. Just because you went to school here DOES NOT mean you will be good here.

Having a good defense is getting A&M

If he coaches a solid D, sure go get muschamp. He can ***** and moan about how aggieland sucks but at the end of the day he's still getting paid to coach D.
