He's not coaching now.
He needs to rehab his image.
A&M is a place he's familiar with.
Practicly a God in Oline coaching.
Bring him in as s consultant or whatever for the rest of the year.
If Anderson doesn't like it he can piss off.

a consultant role would be cool...BJ is a good recruiter but he's got to recognize that Turner is a really good coach for the technical aspects. at a minimum, it's another set of eyes to help.

Wait... a god in OL coaching that had one of the worst OLs last year - even before the Incognito scandal cost them two more starters?

Not sure how much of that was Jimmy's and Joes, but... Thoughts?

I hear what you are saying rhutton, but I think the argument could be made that Turner was coaching elite (NCAA) talent at A&M, and some of that talent is still here. I don't think anyone would come close to saying that he had near that caliber of player in Miami. The drop off since his departure alone lends the idea of bringing Turner back some credibility.

Bottom line, Turner has a reputation for being a technician, B.J. has a reputation for being a recruiter.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday about bringing him back. Would be an excellent idea in my opinion.

Shouldn't of let him go to begin with.

I would not have an issue with this. Food for thought though. Johnny would make most offensive lines look very very good. He did things most college QB's never do. He got rid of the ball quickly and made plays by running and scrambling. He also helped the running backs by making the defense have to account for him at all times.

Drafting/trading/coaching in NFL =/= Recruiting/developing/coaching in college. He was pretty darn successful at the latter.
