I don't think he would end up at Alabama. So they know each other, but they don't appear to really be that close, at least not anymore. Muschamp left Saban's staff at Miami because he was passed over for DC. While a number of Saban assistants willingly go back to work for him, I just don't see Muschamp doing that.
If Kirby does finally leaves this year, Saban will likely bring in someone else, an up and comer who's also a hot shot recruiter. If not I think he makes a run at Jeremy Pruitt or maybe the DC from Michigan State.

I would be down for taking a shot at Muschamp. He can't be any worse than Snyder, and he might actually instill a little fire and discipline in our guys, something Snyder is completely incapable of, apparently.
