I didn't even realize he was on the staff. Too bad. He's a great Ag.

Seriously, who remembers Billy Cannon, Jr.? He was a pretty good player here and quite a coup in recruiting.

I do. He laid out a WR on the last play before the half once. The WR was down for almost the entire halftime.

Can't remember who that was against, but I do remember that. That dude was a hitting machine.

Pretty sure it was Baylor.

Was that Cannon or was that Kip Corrington?

It was most definitely Cannon who laid out the WR. For some reason, I thought it was Memphis. But I was only 11 when it happened.

Did we rename The Spirit of '02 to Billy? or did we rename Trudy to Billy? Possibly the 105 is Billy?

Either way, I'm glad it will be fired!

Billy Canon Jr. laid out a TCU receiver on the sideline right before the half.

I was at an Ag baseball game and I am pretty sure it was Billy that punched a hole in the outfield wall at Olsen with his head.

That was funny. I posted a thread about it during the game.

Billy Cannon Jr. also returned kicks. We used to joke that he would look for the nearest opponent to hit during his return and would many times try to run over somebody. He did like to hit. He played safety right?

Billy was extremely fast and delivered maybe the hardest hit Ive ever seen an Aggie deliver. Yes, way more impressive than "the hit".

I thought that hit was from the TCU game. Whatever!

That was one of the loudest hits I've ever heard--anywhere. I'll be surprised if the kid that got hit wasn't put in a facility. That was kind of in the Coryatt area for all time hits.

Back when Hood pulled his Saber on SMU years ago, something recently discussed here, Billy Cannon was the player that went over and restrained him avoiding a bigger fight...
