I'm a big fan of changing the terms of discipline after they've been decided, based on public feedback. That's allsome!
What did this incisive, "ongoing investigation" uncover that was new and different, requiring them to change the punishment?
"Well guys, we are unsure if he definitely specified where he was planning to f%^$ her. 1/2 game suspension, pending confirmation of the exact wording he used."
"Confirmed. He definitely said he was going to 'f*&# her in the p+*&@.' Use of p+*&@ to describe female genitalia is another half game suspension. "

This so ass backward, he get's off the hook for rape, he does few hours of public service for stealing crab legs, however, utters a typical word for him and gets suspended. Crazy!

Those were the lines early this morning when I checked, well before this was announced. The lines dropped to those numbers when it was announced he was sitting out a half, not the entire game.
Oh. Well. Never mind me then.
Damage control. Pure and simple. They either know something new/else is fixing to break, or there has been some other instances that have been covered up that no one has heard about.

It's interesting that ESPN had a fan poll question this afternoon asking if suspending him for a half was severe enough. The results showed over 80% felt it was not enough. Now FSU suspends him for the entire game. Seems like a PR move to me. Could also be an excuse if they drop the game.
