I come here, post jokes, opinions, read up on others posts, and overall enjoy the forum in general. However, one 'habit' that I see here OFTEN is the ripping of our student athletes on a regular basis.
I'm as much for free speech as the next person, however, I am opposed to the onslaught of negative comments about our student athletes or Aggies bashing Aggies.
I'm quite fed up with it. I'd ask each of you to consider the sacrifice each athlete makes, putting his body on the line at each game at the expense of our entertainment. Broken bones, ruptured knees, concussions, etc and we sit behind a computer screen and attempt to bash them. Some athletes have traveled a long, hard road to achieve a scholarship or simply walk on to our teams (not just football), and we should applaud and respect their achievements.
I put out a call to clean up the forum boards, treat our fellow Aggies with respect, and keep the criticism respectful and constructive. We are simply better, as a group, than we act on this board.
