Both of the individual organizations of the two referenced here will take action in addition to what the school (which I think as I've said should be A LOT) and fish camp do. The Corps will take care of the CT, as everyone knows. As for the Zeta, trust me when I say sororities don't play with stuff like this. Bad pictures and bad PR is a no no. I date a sorority girl up at North Texas and dated and was around my share at A&M. They won't let her off at all ESPECIALLY since she's doing the crown pose.

I probably give fish camp the hardest time on this site and want that terrible organization torn down and rebuilt from scratch. But I would still take value from their apology. If I was in their place I would definitely realize that I had screwed up big time and would want to make amends.

This is my photo of the Bonfire Memorial taken in 2010 after it had snowed. It was not edited in any way and is a full color photo taken as my daughter was walking ahead of me to pay her respects.

If they could pull it off, I would say a good way to do this is make a mandatory fish Camp event for counselors (pre-camp), and invite close friends and family members of those who died to come speak about Bonfire, what it meant to the person who died, and what it means to them. Not in a "how dare you" direction to the counselors, but in a "this is why it's sacred, this is why it's important" method.

Then after all of that is done, those counselors responsible get to apologize in person, as one group, to the family and friends of those who died.

I think it would be fitting.
