I ran 14 miles Saturday morning, felt great, no pain to speak of. Go to the grocery store about 3-4 hours later wearing flip-flops and my foot starts feeling sore. Fast forward another 3 hours and I can hardly put any weight on the foot. Pain is in the outside of my right foot towards the heel. No amount of stretching helps and there is some swelling in the area. Does this sound like a stress fracture? Tia

I have had stress fractures on the top of my feet. The area you describe sounds very painful. Ice bath and maybe see a podiatrist asap if your insurance doesn't require a referral.

Go see a doc. Hope it's not a stress fracture but if it is, do not continue running. Stress fracture will need complete rest for at least 3-4 weeks.
