i haven't always been a fan of lance, but i couldn't help but root for him.. and to "lose" by 40 seconds.. heck, watching the t1 video, i see at least 4-5 seconds he wasted putting on his helmet

pretty cool transition area that you can get on your bike at the rack.

Lance is incredible. He's over 40 and puts out a 3:50. I didn't know he had the speed to put in a 1:17 on the run after fast swim and bike splits. It will be interesting to see his France time. I'm definitely going to go watch Galveston 70.3 now. Should be fun to watch.

Very impressive! I predict that Lance will be in the thick of things by the end of the season. Kona will be interesting, as I expect him to steadilly improve with his racing tactics, then peak for Kona. It will be interesting to see how his body holds up to the training/racing. We all know he's a training animal, but it's a different kind of wear and tear for IM's (knees, back, etc.).

That was a very legit pro field, even without the biggest IM names there. Lieto, Henning, Cunningham, Reed, Docherty, etc. are all great 70.3 guys.

On a unrelated note my friend was hanging with Lances baby mama in Aspen last year shooting pool at the house walked down the hall and it was just filled with his TDF memorabilia.
