I need a deer processed and normally my son's dad has it done in west Texas. That didn't happen this time so I have a deer in a cooler and need it dropped off ASAP.

Any deer processor recommendations? I'm in Longview.

Tevebaugh does a great job. There jalapeo deer sausage is the best. Also the best butcher for steaks in town.

It's $55 for the deer (burger meat and back strap and tenderloin steaks) and then $1.79/pound to add beef to the ground meat. I did 1/4 beef, 3/4 venison per lb. I don't really know what I'm doing though.

I got a grinder as one of our wedding gifts and have been making my own ground meat the last two years (100% venison, wife loves it because it's so lean). Looking to try some sausage this year as well.
