I actually think I heard the end live on the air earlier this week. Flipped on the station and Lopez was in the middle of saying something and Dante got angry and said ".......don't yell at me. I'm not your kid......I'll come around this table....."

I wasn't sure if he was mad or just playing, but then there was an awkward pause and the third guy chimed in to clumsily redirect the topic. After the next commercial break Hall wasn't in studio anymore.

Anyone else hear this exchange?

Wasn't listening, but I assume Lopez was at fault.

I didn't hear the whole exchange, but it sounded like Dante was way to sensitive for no apparent reason. I'm guessing he was sick of the job and let some perceived on-air slight drive him over the edge.

that show was/is a complete beat down....and it wasn't just because of Dante.

Dante had no business being on the radio. I just assumed that Lopez was doing an ex Aggie football player a favor......

Lopez is turrible but Hall is not, how you say, smart.

Dante's sorry he got into a fight in the middle of your black panther party.

I always thought he was good in guest spots but I honestly haven't listened to that station much in years.

When I listened to their show, I could tell that Hall was not always prepared --- had seemingly not done his homework about what had happened in the sportsworld the day/night before

Lets not forget Lopez and Sumlin (at both schools)
or
Lopez and the earlier hosts he was paired with (Ted D and Vanderwhatever)

I didn't know that Lopez worked with Josh.

Josh replaced Vandemeer when Vande went 100% Texan.

I thought they brought in the dude from KC that now is on national radio. I don't remember josh being with Lopez. I like Payne and Meltzer in the morning. I flip it over when the xm guys have a terrible topic.

They brought in Nick Wright to work with Lopez when Vandermeer went full Texan. I listen to Payne and Meltzer, but frankly they are boring. Houston morning sports talk sucks real bad right now.

Brian Straw on 1560 is 90% college football in the mornings. 6-8am.

His arrogant and cocky, that his biggest issues. I will add that I was listening during the 11 o'clock hour and they were taking about Hopkins and his contract and it not getting done before the season. He actually said that it would be more beneficial, financially, for Hopkins to sit out next season, if the Texans don't do a deal, than to play the season and see what happens. His point was that he could be a FA and get 40-45 million guaranteed. Now he may very well get that, but what an asinine comment to make, that Hopkins should sit out to maximize his money. To me that told me everything I needed to know about Lopez, he is looking for responses and callers.

Wtf do they even keep Lopez around then if he is that big of a ******? He's not even the main guy on any of the shows he's been on..... he must be sucking off the big guy at 610

Lopez reminds me of some message board posters like Agnzona who will throw out their brilliant sports take just to get a reaction, and anyone who disagrees is just too stupid to understand. I guess it works in provoking idiots to call the station, which is all local sports radio guys seem to care about.

I like Lopez. It seemed like he and Dante had a great on air relationship. Lopez was always very complementary. I missed any on air issues.

I don't remember ennis ever being on the morning show with Lopez. That guy is the biggest tool on the radio. I refuse to listen to 790 after end the trenches is over.

Herman was the little butch in the Lopez/big nose/Herman situation. Herman didn't like that he scooped the Kyle Allen news while Herman was recruiting/lying to high school recruits.

I hope Agproducer has read this thread. It's got potential.

Looks like the common element in all his failed pairings is Lopez...

Lopez is painful to listen to. His awkward laugh at his own non funny jokes makes my ears bleed.
