I'm looking for a speaker that could come talk to my organization ~20-30 people about defensive driving and driving strategy. Maybe something more out of the box versus just the 4 second rule smith driving type instructor. I'm thinking someone that could discuss more strategy around commuting in regards to best times to commute, how to avoid road rage (do/do not's), knowledge of Houston roads, etc.

Any suggestions?

You could just call around to local defensive driving agencies and tell them what you're looking for.

Another option is to get a law enforcement speaker. Audience sometimes like hearing straight from Smokey, and they can bring up stuff we never think of. You could check with the area DPS station or local constable's office, depending on where you are. I think most departments have some PIO types who are experienced speakers.

Maybe a State Trooper.

We've had them come out to our field offices and talk to our guys about safe driving.

Anyone have a contact in HPD Traffic Enforcement? I'm sure I would be able to make a donation to the Police fund or the like.
