Got there right at noon when they opened.
Was about 5 back in line & got my burger around 12:35.
Outside seating only, so beware of the heat.
Burger was good & I'm sure it's a great atmosphere in the evening or at night.

moon tower is off the chain, but i've never had a burger there. i can't pass up the sausages.

I hate when these lists come out because it brings out all the hipsters that don't know how to order a hamburger. If you get to the front of the line before you get to the menu, you should be sent to the back of the line or even

No it doesn't. It doesn't even come close to sucking. It's just not one of the town's gourmet burgers. But it's consistent and good.
Just left Buger Joint for the first time and it was better than expected. That maple bacon burger with the ghost pepper jam was off the chain. Good place will definitely go back.
Southwell's is underrated. Classic TX cheeseburger, no frills.

I can go to southwell's and get a damned tasty burger and fries/rings and a drink for ~$10.
Just because it doesn't have a philly cheese steak on top or stuffed jalapeos or something doesn't mean it's not a good burger. It's a fantastic burger.
Buff Burger on I-10 is pretty good.

Buff Burger is really good, but it seems like almost no one knows about it. It has to be the most overlooked burger place in town. Houstonia or Houston Press or one of these sites will put out a top 10 or 15 burger list and Buff Burger never even scores an honorable mention.
The burgers are great, they always have 3-4 good beers on tap (plus cans and bottles), and it's a laid back vibe..
i've tried buff burger twice. they're OK, but i never find it amazing. not really worth making any effort to go to.
For them not to list these is a damn travesty:

When we lived in meyerland before most of you ****s were born,
we used to go the Southwells in the med center often
Then we moved to Bunker Hill and used to go the Southwells by Memorial High often
We moved home and I still miss it
It reminds me of a better version of Whataburger

Pretty good comparison actually after I thought about it. Southwells just does a simple, get to the point solid burger.
Excited about my bud chef hildebrand's (of Triniti) new burger joint, FM Burger. They have good burgers at Triniti, so a burger only joint should be money.

Send the jackoffs over to Burgers by Gourmet. It sounds like their cup of tea.
I worked there for 2 years in the early 90s. Their current burgers aren't what they used to be. I think they use smaller patties now.
