MAS dropped it as far as I know. I never pursued further but am very sure it was the title company.

My house wasn't listed for sale on MLS. And my realtor didn't add it. Maybe the seller did after the fact, I have no way to verify. My realtor thinks it was given to hcad by the title company.

As was mentioned, agents will often list homes on the MLS after the fact to keep a record of it.
I'm not sure why your realtor didn't just look it up in the MLS.
