Heading to the Toyota Center for the Rockets game tonight. Haven't been there in a while.

Cheapest/best parking options to walk to the arena from? (Also allow me to avoid post game traffic)

All help is appreciated!

Park on the street facing your desired direction of escape about 2-3 blocks from TC a couple hours before the game and then grab a beer at one of the local joints to burn time. You'll be about minimal cash if any for the meter.

Parking on the streets after 6pm is free (make sure you aren't in a tow away zone). Sunday's is free parking.

If you are arriving closer to game time, park with my man who runs the fenced in lot at the northern most corner of Leeland and Austin.

He locks the cars in and is there at the end of the game to direct you out. All the other lots that are pay the guys just take your money and leave and several cars in those get broken into.
