I am getting dragged to this as well. Its a festival dreamed up by someone who realizes that August in Houston is hot as Hades and the only way to get people to go out is to stage an event.

I'll be the guy with Khaki shorts and white linen shirt walking around sweating profusely with swamp butt.

Yes, bring your own booze. We always have a loaded wagon. It is basically Lights in the Heights, but in the summer.

The heat isn't the problem. You can drink enough beer to not GAF, but no matter how much you drink it'll be as crowded as a shipping container coming from Laredo.

We usually just go to a friends house in the heights and sit in the front yard and drink while wearing linen.

Just bought a house in the heights and I'm looking forward to this. We went last year and hung out mostly at a friends house. Walked down White Oak until it started getting crowded then just went back to the friends place. This year I'll be fresh home from a fishing trip and already primed. Plan on strapping a cooler to a bike and going to white oak again.

Ha! We used Uber to get to Lights in the Heights....

That was my first experience with a surge charge.. $90 for 4 miles

Was payday and we were already hammered so I really DGAF...until the next day
