Decided to go last summer and holy ****, we walked in and out. Probably stayed 5 minutes. Lost $100.

We were so disgusted. Yeah yeah, something high horse, something something.

I used to take my daughter pretty often but haven't been in a few years. Sounds like it's gotten much worse.

Only kinda bad experience was having to wait in a long line behind a dude that looked like he brought a couple chicks from Whispers and one was wearing a half-thong, which I didn't mind but my 4 year old daughter seemed confused.

Go to the one in New Braunfels. I went last summer and experienced very little of the trashieness metioned above.

Agreed. Been to both and NB is fun and diverse crowd. Galveston one is awful.

First time I saw somebody tased was at that Schlitterbahn, young brotha must have felt he was slighted by being asked to pay to enter the park. After my Dad and I enjoyed the show, we decided the flight museum for a third time that weekend was a better idea.

i've always had a disgust about water parks, even as a kid. but when the galveston one opened back in the day, a buddy had free tickets so a group of us went. i got crapped on by a bird in line for something and had enough and walked out... after i got into lazy river to wash the bird crap off, because lets be honest doesnt everyone get rid of waste in that thing...

Both Galveston and NB are **** holes on the weekends during the summers when they let the mouth breathers off work.

My kids love waterparks, but I insist that we visit them on weekdays.

I'm sure Schlitterbahn Galveston is nothing compared to Splash Town in Spring. I get grossed out just driving past there on the 45 feeder road.

The only thing worst might be that "water park" on I-10 somewhere between Lake Charles and Lafayette.

I have to say, though, these local cesspools could at least be a little more creative with their names. Where I grew up the two water parks were Slippery Sam's and Wet Willie's.
