Stag's Head is inside a strip center on property owned by H-E-B. As of yet there are no plans for the Texas supermarket giant to put in a new location. They've opened up two new locations nearby within the past three years.
"Something is happening but they won't tell me," Holliday said. " They seem to be very secretive."

Does HEB also own the building that houses Freebirds/Amy's Ice cream that is more or less on the same piece of property?
I know Google Maps shows that it's split by Portsmouth, but I wouldn't think that the building/property housing Stagg's Head is big enough on it's own to do much more with.

On April 25 Holliday is hoping that Stag's Head regulars will come out and revel in the bar one last time. His staff of 28 likely will join the ranks at his other bars.
"I want them to drink the place dry. I don't want anybooze or food left over," he said.

Will miss the Stag's Head jalapeno bottle caps.
