I had taped Letterman on Monday to watch the Suffers. Watched it last night.

I hadn't watched Letterman in forever. He looks SOOO old. And apparently has nothing left in the tank. Even when Leno was at the end, he was still telling the same old dad jokes he'd been telling all along. Letterman just doesn't give a F anymore.

Was he ever any good? I've never liked talk shows (other than Jerry Springer) until recently when I've been watching Jimmy Fallon.

Letterman 20 years ago was great. Kind of the Kimmel (I guess I don't watch Kimmel) to the Tonight show's stodginess. Apparently he was even more edgy in the 80s when he started.

I started watching Lettermen in '94 during the winter Olympics, when his mom would do nightly segments. Hilarious. Watched until about 2002. I'll tune in whenever Jack Hanna is on. It's still a riot.
