Houston is the city that can't pick up the damn trash consistently or keep the pools / fountains at Tranquility Park full of water. Building a venue consisting only of concession stands is the dumb sort of thing that Houston would probably do.

Lina spent $90 million setting up covid hospital tents in the Dome parking lot when that money would have been better served paying asbestos remediation contractors.

Covid was fleeting, but a an astrodome with less asbestos is forever.
