Houston Ags. Anyone who plans on using 290 to get to the game tomorrow might want to consider an alternative route to the game. The mainlanes of 290 (both E and W bound) will be closed tomorrow at the Grand Parkway from 6am to 5pm.

You can take 290 up and exit Cypress Rosehill. Take it all the way until it T's in 2920. Hang a left and you will pop out in Waller

I'm thinking they list the closure limits all the way to Bauer because it's the first entrance ramp where you can get back on 290 after GP. The GP NB to 290 WB Direct connector is on top so there's no reason for it to be closed. I'll be heading that way in an hour or so and will report back.

Just came through there on 290 and it wasn't bad at all. Still had to exit off and go through a stop sign but not more than a 5 minute delay. We just used Waze and it sent us through there. I'm sure it will be worse later as traffic picks up.

Coming from downtown I'll probably just take my chances going up 290...everything else is just out of the way for a 10-15 min delay

Just went through it - hardly no delay and traffic at all but that will obvi change later in the day.........

I have to take my truck into Lonestar Chevy right there and am leaving from there to the game. Is there an alternate route from there, or am I going to be so close I'll just be stuck going through?

Closer to game time travel it might be way more than a 15 minute delay. It was a complete cluster for ULM.

just to confirm, Grand Parkway to 290 bypasses the construction? Will it work coming home too? Debating between that and 359 route

From I-10 , it looked like grand parkway onto 290 was wide open. We didn't come that direction but the cars coming from that way we're not slowed

Grand Parkway north to 290 is open. Coming home 290 east to GP southbound MIGHT be open after the game. It looked like they were doing a deck pour on the EB-NB connector so that shouldn't restrict access to EB-SB connector, but they may still have it closed.
