What are some great restaurants around westheimer and beltway 8

I don't know about great, but Fogo is just up Westheimer and Taste of Tx is just up the belt at 10. Assuming they aren't vegetarians.
Drive down to papas bros.
I did vegetarian meal at Fogo. It was great.
I work near there and that area is a ghost town at night.
I would go toward the galleria to Fogo or Pappas Bros
A new El Tiempo just opened on Gessner @ Westheimer, but I am not sure if that is considered "great"
There are several potentially "great" options in City Centre as well

dont see how you could go wrong with Churrascos Westchase.
Cantina Laredo is always good.

These are all good recs. it is a little further north but I really like the pork chop at Perrys at memorial city

If you want to break away from the usual steakhouse / expense account meal and show your H-Town bona fides, take them to Bellaire / 8 and blow their mind at Mala Sichuan.
Cafe Caspian just west of Kirkwood.
There is a relatively new Capital Grill in the City Centre. Its located at Beltway 8 and Memorial. Can't go wrong there.
Pappas is better, but Brenner's is just cool. Small dining room and great garden. I got engaged there, so obviously you know my thoughts on if it is a good place to make a big sale.
That being said, there are a lot of places in City Center that have private rooms. Also, if the visitors stay there, they can walk to the restaurant and more importantly walk home safely.
