I agree. The Houston Humidity is a far more intimidating name!!

No. One guy said it several times.
He would say something like "Texas is..." rather than 'The Texans are..."
He would say something like "Texas is..." rather than 'The Texans are..."
Maybe you misheard him and he has bad grammar.
That's what 4th string, walk on announcers do.
